Policy for Readings

• I work intimately with Breidablik's landvaettir and must be on site.  Readings via G-mail IM and Skype are available.  The same policy of prior compensation applies but I now offer long-distance Readings should you desire.
• I can't take any money at all for Readings, only donations for the Temple in the form of feed, supplies, or labor.  It has happened in the past that querents have abused this compensation system, so I must insist that you give at least ONE of anything you give--one hour of time doing labor, one bale of grass hay, one bag of feed, one basket of pulled weeds, one can of gas, one bag of carrots---you get the idea.  I am exceedingly fair, so you be, too.  You choose the form of compensation--what you can afford, feel called to offer, believe a Reading is worth.  If it's labor, the labor has to occur before the Reading.  If it's material goods, it has to be at Breidablik, unopened and in good condition, before the Reading.  I must know what the compensation is before you arrive,  but the size or cost of the compensation will not affect the quality of the Reading.  I just need to know so I can be mindful of inventory.  Some examples:  ordering horse wormer for us (I can give you the names of various online suppliers and many of them have sales), ordering a gift certificate from Stop and Shop (we buy reduced produce for the pig there), ordering a gift certificate from Feed Warehouse, visiting with carrots, apples, potatoes, or other food items for the animals.  It doesn't have to be expensive but I do have to OK it beforehand.
  
• I reserve the right to refuse to conduct a Reading, and will inform at once. There would be no charge if this occurs, although the burden of dealing with the compensation you've brought would fall to you.  Larry at Feed Warehouse will take returns.  Sometimes the runes won't disclose, sometimes the gods instruct "Say Nothing."  I have no recourse except to conclude a Reading when this occurs.  Rescheduling may or may not help.
  
• I am not a therapist and can't serve as a life coach, either.  You can take or leave what I say, you can feel it is utter bollocks if you like.  I am merely a conduit.  It's not personal.
  
• I don't do this as a parlor trick.  Runes are sentient entities (mine get fed regularly as part of my arrangement with them)  and don't appreciate being treated disrespectfully.  Asking me about every little picayune thing, like whether or not you ought to call back that date, or take your vacation in Florida this year---uh uh.  Be serious.  My runes get very uncooperative if they feel your intentions are insincere.  They have been known to return queries with gibberish when they know they're being disrespected--their way of saying "piss off."
  
• Once you have had a Reading, allow some time for things to percolate and evolve.  Do NOT request another immediately.  Work with what you learned, first.
  
• I only Read for individuals, one on one, privately.  Anything you say to me will be kept in confidence, unless you disclose illegal activity, intent to harm yourself or another, or severely disturbed psychological state.  I've been in your shoes, I get the need for privacy and the need to express discomfort or anxiety.  I will not judge you for having feelings.
• I only use Futhark runes (see image above).  I use a system the spirits taught me, and which works for me.   No reversed runes, no blanks, no "mixed media" divination.  If you want another system, I can refer you to colleagues with much more experience than I.
• I will not Read for anyone under age 18, regardless of  parental permission.
  

Readings can take anywhere from ten minutes to an hour or more.  Sometimes I will be prompted to lay a hand on visiting querents, to do energetic sensing or workings.  This is not a come-on, it's part of my tool kit, and if I need to do it I will say so beforehand and ask for your permission.  If you are uncomfortable with being touched, please let me know at that time.  It may affect how well I can Read for you.
