Land stewardship, creation and maintenance of community sacred space, heirloom seed gardening and saving, tending the sacred animals, receiving guests and those seeking spiritual insights or private retreats--these are a few of the Temple responsibilities. There are no vacations and rare breaks, but the work is fulfilling and varied, from season to season and task to task.
In July 2010 we received our first official guest, author and god-spouse Anya Kless. She was kind enough to create an essay about her visit and I was intrigued to read her description of Odin's night-time appearance.
Each visitor here will have a unique experience--some may find tranquility from life's turmoil, others may be physically challenged to a new level of living mindfully, and yet others may make the transcendent contact with the divine.Being here, being open, many things become possible.
We have many projects planned. Erection of god poles and stone altars, construction of a ritual bastu (Swedish word for steam house or sauna), construction of a Cretan jib sail well pump and cistern for watering the garden spaces and animals, creation of more pasturage, erection of a trellis for Frey's golden hops vine, and much more. Work will progress apace on these things, but we're always looking for more willing hands. Please contact us if interested.
Feeding Gluckwunsch happens twice daily. Preparing his meals is fun. He enjoys a la carte.
